Why do people say what they say?

Well yesterday I had someone ask me "how far along" I was.  It has been a long time since I have had that question.  I played it off with grace, but deep down it hurt.  It hurt real bad.  I think that this time it hurt so bad because I have been working so hard to loose weight and workout.  I struggle with my mid-section like a lot of women do. I have been doing a lot of ab exercises that help target my mid-section and I have increased my cardio and even included running again.  It hurt because most days I bust my butt for 2 hours either at the Gym OR with my Personal Trainer.  I know why I struggle.  I know its my diet, but I am getting that into check.  I am bound and determined to make myself healthy and fit.  I have goals.  I WILL meet those goals.

After the lady at the bank proceeded to ask me if I was pregnant, she then continued, after I said I wasn't, to talk to me about body wraps and other weight loss things...never apologizing for the absolutely rude question she just asked me.  I just kept a smile on my face and proceeded to tell her I workout everyday and I take my health serious.  It was all I could do to not cry, because a little bit of my pride just went down the toilet.

I got to thinking why people think that they have the right to say things that they know they should NEVER ask a woman?  I asked Jory last night if men think about those things before they speak, and his reply was "YES if we want to live to see tomorrow!"  I married a smart man.  I know not everyone has a filter on their mouths, and even I have said things that I shouldn't have.  I at least have been embarrassed and have apologized immediately for it.  I guess all I am trying to say is people think before you speak.  I am done with this now, I am no longer going to dwell on this, it is in the past.  I now have even more reason to work hard to reach my goals.  I WILL not let someone I don't even know bring me down!

Remember When?

I was at the gym this morning on the elliptical machine overlooking the basketball court, where they have a kids class going from 9:30-10:30.  Kids that are Lily's age.  I tend to stick by those machines because it is fun to watch the kids play and interact with each other. I was almost done with my workout when I noticed a cute little old man probably in his 80's wearing a fedora looking down on the little kids playing and running.  He had the sweetest smile on his face as he watched those kids and I got to thinking, I wonder if HE remembers HIS kids at that age?

I was visiting another one of my besties this weekend up in Nebraska.  She just had her first son in January  and he was almost 6 weeks early.  This is her first child so naturally she is a nervous wreck.  I can so remember being in her shoes!  I remember coming home from the hospital thinking, "OH MY GOSH!!! WHAT DID I DO???"  They ( the people aka Doctors, Nurses) just gave me this baby to take home and raise?  What were they thinking!?!?!  I was SUCH a wreck!  My hormones were all out of whack I was tired, I was in pain...Oh my, and now I have to care for this child who doesn't come with an owners manual?  So YES I remember that stage oh so very well.  I think all of us mothers can remember back to that moment.  By the way she is an AWESOME mommy!  I enjoyed watching her care for her son with such love, even when she was exhausted.  She and her husband will be raising this beautiful child up in such a Godly loving home.  It was fun for me to see!

I got to thinking today while I saw that old man watch down on those kiddos, why did I wish for the NEXT stage so fast?  Looking back I think it was just because I wanted to see what else my children could do.  I gave my bestie some advice before I left her and I just told her to enjoy the moment that she is in.  The cuddles and cute scrunchie baby butt, the spit up and the cute little grunts will soon be just a memory, and SHE will be looking back and remembering when her little angel boy was doing those things.  I had a lot of memories come back to me this past weekend that were so great to have of my kids.  I wish that I would have slowed down a little bit when they were so itsy bitsy so I could have savored it a bit more, but alas, here I am with a 7 year old and an almost 5 year old.

They grow too fast and I can remember when....

A Fresh New Start...

Well folks, I have decided to start blogging again.  For the past year, I have felt like I have had nothing worth saying...

As a mom and wife I have found it hard to keep what is important in life in check.  This past weekend I had the incredible opportunity to go down to Tyler, TX for a Mom Life Mommy boot-camp with my Best Friend JP.  The trip was worth the drive and the weekend away from my family.  What is incredible was that when I asked Jory if I maybe would be able to go to this, he was so encouraging for me to DO SOMETHING for myself.  (I have an incredible husband that takes care of me) *anyways* This weekend was an eye opener in a lot of ways for me.

First off I was told TIME AND TIME AGAIN this weekend that "I AM the mother God intended for my children"  YES!!! YES!!! I am NOT screwing them up??  Well I guess not, God doesn't make mistakes...There are SO many times during the day, the week that I feel unworthy of being my childrens' Mommy.  I feel tired, cranky, mad, angry, did I mention tired?  There have been times I have just wanted to QUIT!  I don't want to make another PB&J, I don't want to pick up another toy, I DON'T want to clean the house, do another load of laundry...There are times I just want to sit on the couch and go Bababababababababababa, like Goldie Hawn in the movie Overboard.  You know what keeps me going?  It is the promise that my kids will be great!  I GET TO RAISE THEM!!!  I get to put my corkyness and my Dyisims in their little lives.  I am NOT screwing them up.  I am raising them to be Godly children!  I am raising them in a LOVED home where I have to learn to let the little things go.  Do more Hugs and kisses.  Less playing on the phone and more playing with chalk and Candyland and dancing to Frozen to the trillionth time in the kitchen.  I learned this weekend that it is the little things that my kids will remember.

We took a personality test this past weekend as well.  If you know me then you know I LOVE LOVE LOVE personality tests.  They intrigue me.  They gave us this paper that we had to determine which trait best describes us.  There was Pink, Green, Blue and Orange.  I was a green.  Each color represented the personality.
Pink= Perfect Mommy
Green= Strong Mommy
Orange= Popular Mommy
Blue= Peaceful Mommy
I will share the link to the personalty test right here
 http://www.susanme.com/themomiam/

This is what it says about me:  Pretty spot on... I guess all in all I have learned to accept who I am and who I am as a mother.  Everything else God has in his hands.

Reflections

Reflections;

My heart is a heavy heart this morning.  I can't stop thinking about what is happening in our world today!  WHY must we kill each other?  When is it okay to be so pissed off at the world that we go out and kill people?  The answer is NEVER, it is never okay to take someone elses life because YOU are unhappy.  God says THOU SHALL NOT KILL!!!  I am sickened and upset that my children have to grow up in this kind of world.  There is nothing that the government or politicians can do to make this better, unless they turn to the God of mercy!  Until our country turns back to the beliefs that we used to have, things will NOT change.  I want to have the right to defend myself, and I want to have the knowledge that my children can be kids still, and not have to worry about what might happen if they go and see mommy run a race or go to the movies or wherever they may go...that is not to much to ask for right?  We live in a sick world where we broadcast the violence in the world and do not broadcast the good positive stuff.  That I believe just feeds the want for violence.  Is it sad that I can count one news story that is positive and uplifting when I watch the news?  Positive FEEDS positivity and Negative FEEDS negativity.  Simple concept right there...

The attacks yesterday were on a group of people who are not only physically strong but mentally strong. Runners are among the happiest people in the world.  They have so much energy and endorphins running through them!  Sick!

I pray for the victims of the attacks yesterday and for all the other victims that have suffered from terrorism.  I pray for our enemies and their souls. I pray that their sick minds can and will be healed.

God is the only way that we can be free of this legion.  We need to step up our trust in God and join with the angel armies and hold tight that our enemies WILL NOT DESTROY US, but make us stronger!

Understanding the + vs -

WOW it has been a LONG long long time since I have blogged on the Super Woman blog...

How to start off...Well I guess that I should say that old saying of "I have good news and I have bad, which one do you want first" but instead I will begin with do you want the Positive first OR do you want the Negative?  Well the Negitive wins...

I have been so very hard on myself lately.  I can't seem to get it together.  I feel like I am failing at being a mother, wife and just plain ol Dyan.  I feel very sad, blue, I have no motivation whats so ever to do ANYTHING.  When someone asks how I am doing I reply, busy, tired, worn out, ect.  Who wants to hear that as a reply?  Very depressing.  Well it is the truth.  It seems like every winter I start to feel this way.  I guess it is all the time that I spend inside.  My vitamin D count must go way down because I start feeling depressed and no good to anyone. I am not feeling great about myself and I feel like eating, but then eating is where the problem stems from how I feel about myself.  It really is a vicious cycle and I know who is behind it.  So today in the tanning bed, that's right Vit D!  I just started praying to God to help me help myself.  I asked him to take away that desire to eat bad food and to really start helping me to put the craving energy into something else, like praying for those who surround me, who love me, who are there for me.  I asked Him to put someone's name in my head that I could pray for whenever I had a craving for something that I SHOULD not have.  I need to go back to the book Made to Crave and re-read it.  It seemed to help having another place to put my energy. I need to take care of myself so I can better take care of my family.  That is IT with the negative attitude!

Now I really debated whether I should bold in the Super Mom blog or if I should blog in the Journey to a New me blog, but this one won out.  So with every negative there needs to be a positive and this is why this blog won out.

I am a second year deer hunter.  This year I got my first buck/deer.  It was a prefect day, My sister Meghan was able to come over in the early afternoon and watch the kids for me.  She picked up Christian from school so I could go out.  Jory was at work and so I went out by myself.  I got into my tree around 1:15pm.  I sat and sat...I almost fell out of the tree when a squirrel jumped into the tree right next to me and about scarred me to death.  So after I recovered from my near heart attack, I was just sitting and listing to the peace and quiet when I heard it...I heard the scraping of a buck's rack against a tree.  I looked and looked all around in front of me, and I could not find him.  I thought to myself that he might be behind me. and low and behold there he was.  Two trees behind me.  Now there was two things that could have happened.  One was that he could have started walking away from me, OR he could turn and start walking RIGHT under me!  Well his decision was made and he walked right under me.  Well there were too many trees in the way, so I had to wait until he was in the clearing and that is when I shot him.  It was a perfect shot from about 40yards.  He ran about 20 yards and was down.  I will tell you it was an amazing adrenalin rush for me.  I was so proud of myself that I did it on my own.  PLUS it was a 10 point buck.  I will probably never shoot another one that large again.  That is ok.  I was really worried that Jory would be upset that this year he did not get anything.  I was worried of him being jealous of me.  He was so very encouraging and he started bragging on me.  He was SO proud of me, that I was willing to go out on my own and hunt AND get my first deer was so cool to him that jealousy never even crossed his mind!  I have the coolest hubby in the world!

My kids are growing growing growing!  Christian is in kindergarten now and Lily and I have most of the day just her and I!  I am loving this time with my girl.  I am still working just two days a week and it seems to be working out great for me and for my family.  We started a new tradition in the house this Christmas...We have adopted an Elf.  His name is Zingo and he is an ornery little guy.  It is really fun to see Christian wake up every morning and try and find what Zingo has been up to.  It has really helped with the attitudes of my children.  They know that every evening after they go to bed, Zingo flies up to Santa to give him the report of them being good or bad.  So far, So good!  That is all positive and I know that I have a great life and a GREAT hubby and GREAT children.

So here is what I know to be true.  I know that I am a child of God, My husband adores me, I love my kids and they are growing to fast, I know that I am worth the time to take care of myself and that I need to love myself enough to let the little things in this life go.  I know that I have awesome great friends who love me for who I am.  There should be nothing now to bring my mood down.  Now that I KNOW these things to be true.  I still could use prayers to help me get out of the "funk" that I am in.  I will be praying for you all often.  Thanks for reading!

Mothers Day and all the Joys...

We had a really great last weekend.

It was my first time getting to ride/drive my new boat! OH MY GOODNESS, it was WONDERFUL! I LOVE IT!!! We were able to get down to the lake in the afternoon on Friday last week. We made a quick run on the lake that night, and we got out again Saturday afternoon. Christian broke in the new swim platform by jumping in the water! Oh my, he said it was REALLY cold! The kids will love it when it gets warmer. We saw Adam and Paula and baby Lydia. We saw both of their parents this past weekend too! It was nice seeing everyone.

We came home Saturday night, so I could take care of nursery duties on Sunday morning. It was graduation for NTS, and we had visitors. After I took care of some stuff, we left early and went to the Royals game. I got a free Royals tote bag, and a sunburn. It was good to get out and enjoy the weather and watch a baseball game. Fun times were had by all!

After the game we headed home and had my family over for dinner. Brats and Hotdogs. It was god to relax and let Jory take care of the grilling! I love my family!

Jory and the kids got me a Kindle for Mothers Day! I LOVE it! I love reading, but to carry books back and forth to the lake and places I go, is just a pain. This is nice cause I can throw it in my purse and go! I have a TON of books on my wish list already! Cannot wait to read them.

I love being a Mom! I have had a great example. My Mom has always been there for me and I love her so! She is one of my best friends and I am glad we have the relationship that we have. She has given me great advice and she LOVES being a grandmother. Thanks Mom for being there always. I know that it is a bittersweet day for my mom, cause my grandma passed away almost 10 years ago after a battle with Breast cancer. I know that she missed her, but she is loved.

Well that's all I have today. Summer pictures will be coming....

The Good Guy Wins!?!

As I am sitting here listening to the Today show, I wonder just how many families are feeling justice today, the morning after finding out that one of the worst terrorist was finally found and killed? Osama Bin Laden was responsible for the murders of thousands Americans! He was a sick man.
I will always remember where I was on 911. I just remember having that horrible stomach pain when watching those towers go down and seeing the Pentagon crashed into, and hearing that another plane was headed towards the White House, and then crashed because brave Americans stood up against evil.
I just listened to this family on the Today show talk about their daughter who was in one of the Trade Towers on the horrible day. They said they talked to her right after the first plane crashed into her building. They said that she was scarred and she was hot. I COULD NOT imagine talking to one of my kids and knowing that they would not survive and telling them to stay calm. As a mother, knowing that you could not protect your child, hurts my heart.
10 years later, I still morn for those who were lost. I did not know anyone personally who was killed on that day, but I feel as a human that those people were my brothers and sisters. I wonder how many people repented their sins that day and were won to God? I can't help but wonder.
So as I reflect the events that happened 10 years ago, I want to know if the good guy won? I know that the job is not over and we should never let down our guard. I know that there is plenty of evil in this world and we would be dumb to let our ego get in the way of security. I still think that we have a road ahead of us. Maybe we will never be rid of terrorism in our world, but I guess we just have to pray that our Lord will protect us.

Me busy? Yeah Right!

Sometimes I wonder what the heck I am thinking when I spread myself too thin. I wish that was literal! (spreading myself thin LOL) This just tends to be a busy time at church. We have musical time, NTS Graduation, Easter, Mothers Day, Jory's Birthday, and this year a Wedding! Everything is so much fun. I think that I like being busy, but when you add on top of all that, raising two little kids, cutting hair and my duty's as far as being a wife aka Making dinner, laundry, cleaning, it is a little much. I am a very lucky woman though. I have a husband that does not complain about my ministry's at church and how busy I am in the evenings. He supports me and takes up his fare share of the workload.

With that said, I was in a MOOD yesterday! OY! Everything that the kids did annoyed me, everything that Jory said bugged me. Why couldn't everyone just leave me alone! For goodness sake I just wanted to pee in peace! LOL TMI?? I went to the bathroom and no sooner did I close that door, I had a little one yelling Mama, Mama!!!! Geeze Let me pee Sis!

Jory was at home yesterday, because he was sick. By the end of the day I just needed to get out of the house and away from everyone. It did not cure my mood, but it did help. I also ate some chocolate and that helped as well!

I think that this Mama needs some Lake time and some SUN!!!!

Really has it been THIS long??

I guess I should maybe do a quick update!

Really has it been almost a year since my last post on this blog? Oh me oh my! Life has taken over the blogging time. I forgot how relaxing and almost comforting blogging can be. Even if no one reads it.

Well, winter has come and gone and now it is Spring. The last 10 months or so, I have really tried to make huge changes in our household as far as eating and going to the gym. Weight has been such a struggle for me since I have had Christian. So we have made good strides to get the Swim house eating good healthy food like God intended it to be.

Jory and I bought a new boat this past January. It is a 2010 24' Tige. It is the boat of our dreams. We spend so much time at the lake, we really wanted something of our own that we could start making wonderful memories with the kids on. It is orange and black and white. Beautiful. I have yet to get out on to it. Jory and Christian have though and they both love it. I can't wait till Mothers Day weekend, to get out on it! It will be a blast this Summer!

Lily will soon be 2! I cannot believe it, 2 already??? Oh my, where has the time gone. She is getting to be so tall and big. Sometimes she talks, but Bubby does a lot of the talking for her. She looks like Jory and has a little attitude like me! ;)

Christian will be 5 in September. He will start pre-school in the fall, for 2 half days a week. He is SO excited to be in a classroom setting. I have been working on writing his letters at home. Before I know it he will be writing his name! I am not so sure I am ready for that yet.

This Easter season has really got me thinking about what Jesus really did for us. Oh my what a scary thing to have to face. I am sure glad that he did die on that old rugged cross for me and for you. I am so glad that my little boy asked him into his heart. It did get me thinking of the rest of the world that does not know him. I have been studying the book of Revelation. I want to make sure that EVERYONE that I know knows Jesus the way that I do. That he died on that cross for us, and that all of our sins have been forgiven. What an awesome thing. I want to be a good example for my kids and for my friends and everyone that sees me.

When life gets you down just remember the simple blessings that HE gives you everyday. I have always been a half-glass-full kinda gal. So that is how I try and live my life, in a way that I can see the positive.

First time at the Lake 2010

This past Saturday was our first time as a family down at the Lake! It was nice and relaxing! I am so happy that we were able to get out of town even though it was for 24 hours! We go down to our friends' Adam and Paula's lake house! CAS owns a travel trailer that we have brought down there to stay in. It is so much easier to stay in with both of the kids! Lots of room and then I can put them down for a nap and have it be nice and quiet in there. We did not bring down the boat this weekend though! We are wanting to have a bow-filler cushion made for the boat this week, so we did not bring it down. I did however bring down a big sprinkler ball! It was fun! C had a ton of fun with it!

We are going down this coming weekend, from Thurs- Tues! Jory took a few vacation days for it! It will be fun times!

My best memory's as a child and growing up, was of our family and our friends camping every year! I am hoping to make these kind of memories for our kids! Lets see if it works!?! Enjoy a few pictures!

First Hair Cut and Mothers Day

Well last Saturday was Lily's first hair cut! She did awesome! She sat real still and let me razor cut the back of her hair! I only cut the back b/c she was getting a little mullet, and we all know that I will not have a child that has bad hair!! Needless to say she is as cute as a button again! Well she was always cute now she is just mullet-less! LOL

Mothers Day was great! I had a really good time with my family in the morning and late afternoon! I had to work NTS graduation in the nursery this year, and I am glad that I was there, because we had almost 20 kids in the nursery that day!
We went to church that morning and then we came home and Jory made me lunch before I had to be back at church. He grilled some really yummy corn quesadillas with chicken and cheese in them! Oh boy they were yummy! After I worked at church, I came home and got the rest of the fam and went over to my parents house! My dad grilled up some supper yummy ribs and we had that for dinner! I got to see my Uncle Dan too! That was a perk!
I got some really awesome gifts too! My mom had the kids make me a stepping stone with their hand prints in it and Christian decorated it! It is beautiful! She got me a necklace with the kids birthstones and a cross on it! Jory and the kids got me some of my favorite flowers! I love them all! It was a really great Mothers Day!

Just say NO!!!

HA! I thought that was a funny title to this post!
I am just saying NO to pasta and bread now! I feel great and have lost a pound or two! I also have been running/walking on the treadmill everyday. WOW what a difference just changing your mindset on a few things will do! I am going to be swimsuit ready soon! I know it will take time, but I can do it!
What brought this on was someone last week asked when I was "due", yes like baby due! Oy that hurt! I have been asked that before, but it still hurts. So that was a light bulb moment that I HAVE got to do SOMETHING about this! So I have decided to cut out the things that I love the most, besides my family, and that just happens to be bread and pasta! I HAVE to cut them out cold turkey, otherwise I won't do it. I have been eating a lot of turkey, some cheese, nuts, and green veggies! Dinners I just don't fix the potatoes or rice. It is just meat and veggies. I will eventually add them back in, but I have to "cleanse" my body of them. I hope that I never really want them anymore! They have been the biggest problem with me trying to loose weight! I have about 40lbs to loose, and I am going to do it! So that is what is going on with me these days!
Ciao!

Omaha Zoo

So this last weekend we took a quick trip up to Omaha! It was a short little trip, but a fun one! Scott, Jory's Dad lives up there now, and so earlier last week I told Jory I would like to go to the zoo and lets go to the Omaha Zoo that way we could see your dad too! (not that he is IN the zoo, but IN Omaha)!! I was not expecting Scott to be able to go to the zoo with us, but he was able to! The kids really enjoyed seeing him.

So I have never been to the Omaha Zoo before, but I have heard that is one of the best zoo's in the country. #3 to be exact. I liked it, but I did not like how it was laid out. It had a lot of dead ends and there were no signs directing you where to go. I did however like the exhibits of all the animals! They had a beautiful butterfly dome, and an AWESOME aquarium! C liked that the best! The Aquarium had a walk through tunnel that the sharks and fish could swim over-top of you. It was my favorite as well! I LOVE the sea and all the creatures in it! They also had one of the biggest Cat complexes that I have ever seen. They had a TON of cats! They also had one of the most beautiful male Lions that I have ever seen. He had the most beautiful manes ever! All in all the zoo was great!

Another cool thing that we did at the zoo was the "Teddy Bear Experience". What it was, was a"teddy bear" hospital for your child's stuffy! I am SOOO glad that we had Moo Moo with us!
Christian was able to get Moo Moo a flu shot and some X-rays. He got his heart checked out and got some new stuffing and stitching. It was SO cool! They gave Moo Moo a hospital band and C got a matching one so he could pick him up after his surgery! It was the cutest things that I have ever seen! All the workers were dressed up like medical workers! It was cool!

Lily slept most of the time we were at the zoo. We forgot our storller so we rented a wagon to carry Lily and the diaper bag. We put Scott's jacket and her blanket under her. She kicked back and realxed while we pulled her! She feel asleep shortly after we got there! She was still so cute! When she was awake she did not really care about the animals!

The Weather was GREAT!!! We had lots of sunshine and low 60's. PERFECT!!!! All in all we had a great day/weekend! Here are a few pictures of Moo Moo getting checked out and of the train ride!

A few things...

Well I promise I have not forgotten about this blog, I have just been REALLY busy lately. With Easter over and summer coming I have a little more time.

We had a great Easter Sunday. We had all of our family and friends over. I just love having everyone in my house all together celebrating the most important holiday in our Christian faith. Lily was a doll that morning, she was dressed so pretty and Christian was just as handsome as ever. We had a great worship service and everyone showed up to help in the nursery who was supposed to be there. After church we came home and I got lunch ready and we ate and ate and ate! Christian and Chase then went outside to do an Easter egg hunt. Chase got bored and so Christian was just finding the eggs! He got so excited each time he found one. Lily was sleeping through all of this! She was one tired chick! Christian was hyped up on sugar that day too! Boy was he a fun kid that night!

Well I had been doing this workout program called P90X. I was doing a great job with it too! This past week and a half I have majorly slacked off. I now feel sluggish and yucky! I have just been SO tired and I just seem like I cannot get into it! I NEED to get my butt in gear! We are almost to swimsuit season and I am a big fat whale that needs to loose at least 40 lbs! Why is this such a problem for me to loose? I have struggled with this for 3 years too long. I want to be my skinny self again. I WANT to feel good about my body and have my hubby be proud of me. Why is eating such an addiction to me. I don't have problems with drugs and I am not an alcoholic. FOOD is my addiction!!! I HATE THAT!!!!! Do I just not know what to eat to help me loose weight?? NO, I DO know what to eat, it is just that I LOVE the food that I am not supposed to eat, like pasta, bread, pasta, candy, pasta....you get the point, I LOVE pasta! Jory hates it! Ok so I am going to change things....I am just not going to eat! LOL just kidding, I am going to do the slim fast shakes and cut the pasta and bread out. I am just not going to eat it anymore. It will be hard, and I might falter, but I think that I am more worried about how I look in a swimsuit than my love for pasta and all things bad for me. I want to look like my friends Paula and Janell! They are beautiful and healthy! Ok DYAN get your rear in gear! High protein here I come!!!

On another note, Jory found out that he is allergic to Gluten and Cows Milk. So hubby is going to help me out with this new way of eating, since he HAS to do it, it will be easier for me to get on the bandwagon. It is funny we need to find someone to watch the kids some night, so we can go on a "Whole Foods" shopping trip. We need to really look at labels and make sure that it is something that Jory can eat. Date night at Whole Foods!!! LOL!!!

Here are a few pics from Easter! Enjoy!
Ciao!

Okay Okay I am BACK...

Okay ya'll, I am back t blogging. Lets see how long this lasts! LOL Okay do Facebook has taken the place of my blog, but I have had requests to start blogging again so here we go...

So last time I blogged I had just had Lily, she is now 9months old now. She is crawling and pulling herself up on the furniture. She is trying to keep up with big brother. She also has two teeth. She is a big girl now! She eats pretty much everything that we are eating plus some! Hehe, I am making her baby food so she eats that and some of our dinners too! She is such a happy baby, nothing seems to bother her...ever...I love her so much! She is just growing like a weed!

Christian is now 3 1/2 and is such a smarty! He loves his new bike that Santa gave him from Christmas this year, and has finally made it outside! He is loving having a baby sister and he thinks that he is her protector. He sometimes gets annoyed with her when she destroys his trains, but other than that he is loving having someone to play with. Now that she is crawling she can keep up with him a little better.
I am looking to maybe put him in a tumbling class this coming fall. We are going to hold off on putting him in Pre-school, until next year. He will be a late start kindergartner. I think that 2 years of Pre-school is a waste of money for us. He is excited to start something tho next year.

Both of the kids had their first time spending the night together in the same room at Grandpa and Grandma's house a few weeks ago. Lily did not know what to think. She did not know where she was, and so she did not sleep well for my mom and dad! I felt so bad, but mom said it was no big deal! Oh well we will have to try it again! Hehe!!

Jory and I are about the same, no big change here, except I am another year older now. I just celebrated my 27th birthday on March 12th. It was fun! We had family and friends over to celebrate with us!

This is the first year in a long time that we have not taken a vacation in the winter. Jory is itching to get out of town. We are going to go to Branson the last weekend in March, just to get out of KC. It will be fun! There is lots to do down there with the kiddos! We are looking forward to it.

I think that is about all that I have for right now, I will try and keep you updated more often! Here are some Family Pictures that we had taken recently, enjoy!

I am SORRY!!!

This was about 2 1/2 hours after she was born, my second time holding her
Same
Next Day NICU
Next Day less than 24 hours old NICU

I need to apologize to my dear blog, I have neglected you and now it is time for an update!
Lets see I forget where I have left off, I know I was still pregnant last update, but I am not now. I have had Baby Lily! She is now home and her birthday is June 3 2009. She had a hard time getting started into this world. When she was born she did not breath on her own. It took them about 10 minutes to get her to breath on her own, they called it resuscitating her, I don't like to use that because her heart was beating, slow but beating. She was in the NICU for 4 days. The hardest part of all of it was that she was not allowed to be with me in my room and then on Friday after she was born they kicked me out and they had no room for me in the hospital, so I had to end up going home that night and she stayed at the hospital. I cried all the way home that night. She never had to be on any oxygen after she got to the NICU and she looked perfectly healthy. They had her hooked up to and IV and heart moniters and two other cords that kept an eye on her, but she was perfect. I did not fully understand why they kept her for so long in there, but am grateful that they were taking her not breathing serious enough. Well she is now home and is doing great! She is eating very well and sleeping great as well! She is not a fussy baby, and she rarely crys. She looks like her daddy and is very beautiful! She is different than Christian in everyway and I love her very much! She is my angel! Christian has adjusted well considering that his 24/7 mommy attention has got to be split between the two of them. I have really tried to make it a point to spend as much time with him as possible. He loves his new sister and he loves holding her too. He has only steped on her twice now, (she is going to be one tough chick) but that is okay no harm done! He loves singing "twinkle twinkle little star" to her. Around 4pm he starts misbehaving a little, so I have to remember to keep my cool, which is hard sometimes. I have to remember that he is only 2 almost 3 and he is going to get into stuff and throw fits. So far I love being a mom of two! I guess it is to late to change that! LOL

Well I have lost about 20 lbs since I have had her, about 20 more to go! I can't wait till I am cleared to start working out again! I want to be in a two peice swimsuit by the end of summer! I know I can do it!

We are going to the lake this weekend! I cannot wait! She will be 2 1/2 weeks old and on the water! Oy! What am I thinking!?!? I know Christan can't wait to go swimming! He loves the boat! Thanks Adam and Paula, for letting us go down and enjoy the lake with you all! It is great to have friends like you!

Well I know that there is more I can update you on but I really don't have the time! I will update again soon!

Ahhh, the kid is getting older!

Well I wish that was true more ways than one! He is still not potty trained, but I have read that with having a new sibling coming into the picture, that it is not worth the fight! Christian is getting older though in so many other ways! He is SO into trains right now that Jory and I are thinking about buying a train table for our basement for him to play with! I cannot tell you how many times I have watched Thomas the Train in the last few days! I cannot wait till it gets a little warmer so we can go to the park and play and just be outside more than indoors!
Jory and C made a deal the other day, I think that it was Sunday, that if he goes without his paci
then he would get a new train from Daddy! Well C went to the trash and threw away the that he had and he sat down and played with the trains that he had already. It was so funny, C asked Jory every ten minutes or so if he could have his new train. So funny! He has been doing very good all day without the paci, right now he only gets it if he goes night night. When he falls asleep we take it out of his mouth so he does not have it in all night. So far so good!

I will have to get his elephant march on camera and post it so you can see! He is SOOOO funny when he does it. He likes watching the Jungle Book and the elephants on the movie march. He tilts his head up and counts and marches around the house! We march wherever we go! You have to see it to know how cute it is!

Well my salon is done! Yea! I can do hair in the basement and I don't have to move stuff from my guest room to the kitchen and back again! No more hair on the counter and on my floor! It is great! I am just waiting on my ceiling to be done and some different lights. But I have used it a ton already! I am so glad that I can work out of the house and make a little money! The entire basement is almost done too. We are buying some couches from a friend of ours, just to get us by for a while! It will be a fun place to have friends over and just relax down there! I will post pictures soon.

We are getting very close to when Lily arrives! I can't wait! She is going to be so beautiful! I hope she gets Jory's eyes! I will get the bedding in the mail today and it is purple with butterfly's on it! I will take pictures of her room when it is all done! She is slowing her kicking and movements a little, she is just getting big! She should be around 3-4lbs, right now! I have 7weeks left and I am feeling pretty good! I am not getting a whole lot of sleep, because I am up every hour and a half going to the bathroom! Uggg, it is because I drink so much water during the day! I kick myself every night for not stopping the drinking earlier! Oh well I am just SO thirsty!

I guess that it is okay to say that I am going to be an Aunt again! Yes Meg and Drew are pregnant! She has been really sick. I feel for her! I remember that when I had Christian. She is about 13weeks now and she should start feeling better before too long! Congrats Meg and Drew!

Well I guess that is all I have for now! I will post pictures soon!

Oops!!!

Well the other day Jory and I were talking about baby Lilly, well we were talking about how to spell her name! I thought that we were going to spell it with 2 L's instead of one! He said no I want her name to have one L. LOL silly Dyan!!!! So her name is Lily, with one L not Lilly with 2! It is after the flower! I could care less how we spell it, I just love the name! So oops on my part! I hope that this does not confuse people too much! Just thought I would let you know!

Update?? Whats an Update???

Hee hee!!! I know I know it has been a LONG time since I have filled you all in with what is going on in my life! Well here it goes!

The end of February Jory and I went to San Antonio, TX for a weeks vacation with some friends of ours! It was a fun time! Jory's dad Scott gave us a weeks long stay at a time share he owns for Christmas. I have never been to Texas, so it was fun! We went to the Alamo, Riverwalk, shopping, and mission. We hung out by the pool a few days, got really burnt...completely my fault! Yeah I forgot to put sunscreen on my legs! Well I did not FORGET, I just didn't! LOL Oh well! Besides me getting burnt, we had a great time!

March is here...Spring has almost sprung...The baby is growing! I had my 26th birthday, a few weeks ago now. It was nice, I am getting older!

My cousin just got married this past weekend and ALL of my family came into town from all over the country. It was so nice to see everyone! I miss them all! The Wedding was at Club 1000, on 10th and Broadway. What a cool place! Very urban! It was a nice wedding and it looked like form the outside, that everything went smoothly! Congrats Hyler and Katie!

Jory and I went on Saturday morning to go and get a 3D sonogram (pictures are below). How cool is technology these days that you can see what your baby looks like in the belly! Little Lilly is growing growing growing! 10 weeks left, I am on the home stretch!

Musical time is upon us! I am working hard with my kids to have them learn their dance! It is REALLY simple! We start combined rehearsals this week, so I will pull them out for just a few minutes to work on it each rehearsal! They will get it and besides that they are SOOOO cute!

Well I think that is all I can do for now! I will try and keep up a little more!
Ciao

Heart Update #2

Hey all...I just wanted to tell you that I wore the heart monitor for 24 hours and I also had my echo done. Everything looked good on the Echo exams that I think that I have nothing to worry about. I will tell you though that the heart monitor sticker thingies that they stuck on me, must have had a latex adhesive on the backs of them, because I was itching like crazy!!!! I am so allergic to latex. Oh well when 3:30pm came around I was ready to get those things off of me!!! So anyways, my heart is fine and all that is happening with it is a premature heartbeat. Nothing to worry about. It will just drive me crazy for the last 3 months! Oh well as long as there is nothing wrong with it I can deal! I just wanted to let you all know what was going on!
