Well well it is Jory's 26th Birthday today! HE just got back into town from South Dakota really early this morning. Like a 2am. He is working all day today mowing and then tonight we are going to the Royals game with my parents! It is buck night and Fireworks Friday! Yeah, not everyone can say that they have have fireworks on their birthday! Anyways I will post about our camping trip once I have received pictures from my friends! Their cameras are a lot better than mine. That is all I have today....HAPPY BIRTHDAY JORY!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!
Okay Jory has been out of town all this week, and he took the computer with him. So I am back posting and reading your posts!!
We are gearing up for a fun filled weekend with our friends! We are going down to the lake, Our friends parents just bought a farm house down there and we are going to camp out on their land and go out on the boat! I am so excited! I went shopping with Paula yesterday to get our food for our trip. We kept the cost of the food down to around $50 per family. Not bad for 4 days! We leave tomorrow morning!
In two weeks we are headed out of town again. This time it is for a family reunion, in Oklahoma. We are also excited for that trip. Jory Jeremy, and Dad #2 are riding motorcycles down there and Jen and I are going to take turns driving the car and riding on the back of the bike with our hubby's!! What fun. Hope it doesn't rain....Jory said he won't ride if is supposed to rain. Grandpa Swim has been really sick with his cancer, so it will be really good to see him and Grandma. Not to mention, it will be really nice to see everyone else too! They have not seen Christian since he could barely sit up. They will be in shock to see how much he has grown up.
We are really trying to keep Christian's paci away from him during the day....OH BOY it is hard. He walks around saying paci, paci, paci.... Then he throws a fit until I can distract him with something else. AHHH!!! It is really testing me. I can't give into him every time he asks for it! Oh yeah to top the stress card, I am going to really start potty training him next week! That will take a BUNCH of time! We will see how that goes! The doctor says that I should not push him, but I have backed off of the whole big boy potty thing, and I want to get him excited about it again! We will see.
Paci...Paci...Paci....
I planted my flower pots last week, they are so pretty here are a few pictures of them.
I love my back yard...Christian and I spend a lot of time outside now that it is warm. He plays and I read. Usally until Jory gets home then I start dinner! I love Summer! The lake the warm and the tan!!! LOL
That is all I have for now!
Well today we went to moms house and helped her with her garden! Christian slept till about 8am and I was not feeling good this morning, so we did not get over there until 12pm. We went out and bought her flowers for her pots, and then we went home to her house. Christian feel asleep on the way home, and when we pulled into the garage, he woke up! We went inside and ate some lunch, well, mom and I did, and Christian went to sleep! Mom and I went outside and and we started working! I pulled weeds and cut down trees. Boy am I tired! Christian woke up I guess screaming, (my mom went and got him) and he was in a bad mood after that for the rest of the afternoon. He did help my mom plant flowers and such, but he was whining and whimpering the whole time. We went home a little later, and he was worse than before. I just thought that he wanted to sit with me and snuggle, but then I felt his little body, and felt that he was REALLY warm. HOT! poor kid. I took his temp by ear, and it was 99.7*, then I took it under his arm, and it was 101.5*. Then I called Doug...Jory's uncle. I then took it rectal. He did NOT like that, but it is the most accurate, and it was 102.7*. I said OH MY GOSH!!!! I freaked out!!! Doug told me to take it, his temp two hours later, and now it is about two hours later and his temp has gone down with the help of the Tylenol. Thank God!!! I did not want to take him to the hospital tonight! Poor guy is so tired! Doug thinks that he might have an ear infection. I am going to take him to the doctor tomorrow! Anyway, that is all I have for now! I will post pictures of my flower pots later! It is too dark to take pictures of them!
We finally did it! We put Christian in a "Big Boy Bed"! He is in a real big boy bed too, he is sleeping in a queen size futon! He looks so small in it! LOL!! We decided to put him in that bed, because we did not want to have to by a toddler size bed and then in a year turn around and buy him a twin or a full size bed. This is a really nice futon...not your college dorm room futon. It has the top of the line mattress and heavy wooden frame. Jory bought it when he moved into his apartment with his friend Jay, before we got married. It is really comfy. To be honest I was really nervous about putting him in this bed, I was really worried about his nap times. I was worried that he would not take a nap. Thank God that is not the case. He loves his new bed and he does take his naps. Funny story...I put him down for a nap the other day and I told him to lay down and go ni-nite and then I walked out and closed the door. I did not hear him for a bit, so I thought good he went right to sleep. Boy was I wrong...I heard him a little while later, playing with his tool bench in his room. I laughed and went on with my laundry. I brought up a load to fold in my room and so I thought that I would look in and see if he was still playing. When I opened the door I saw him sprawled out on his bed asleep! He must have gotten tired and climbed back up on his bed and went to sleep. He was so cute!
Everything has been going well with the bed. For the first few nights he fell out of it and got a little scarred and disoriented, so I had to go in a lay with him. That is another bonus about the queen size bed. I can lay in there with him if he needs it. Other than that, all is good in that department!
This morning I watched my nephew, Chase for a few hours. The boys LOVE playing together. It was so funny, Jenny brought us breakfast this morning, and Christian loved his pancakes. Chase however did not like his. He would try a bite and spit it out! LOL Christian then took that time to eat Chase's too! My son is a PIG!!!!! So after they ate...well Christian ate, I put in a baby Einstein movie, and they both climbed into Jory's chair! They were so cute. They sat there for the entire movie! Without hitting one another! AMAZING!! Christian is the real bully, at least he is when he is in his own domain. He sometimes does not like it when Chase has a toy that he wants! We are working on the sharing thing. He does really good in the Nursery at church, as far as sharing goes. Maybe it is because he knows his cousin and maybe it is the fact that it is own toys and he is a little more protective of them. Who knows! Anyways....It was a fun morning! Christian is now in bed and dinner for Jory and I, is almost ready. I know It is late to be eating dinner...8:30pm and it is weird that Christian is not eating with us, but he was just too tired! Bless his heart, he played hard today. So here are a few pictures of the bugger butt! Enjoy!
