Potty training.....where to start! Hummmm!?!?!? I ask him everyday if he went pee pee or poo poo! He has been telling me the correct answer. I have decided not to push him into it. When he does sit on the big boy potty, I DO make a big deal about it. He thinks that it is a fun game. I have not recently been able to get him to actually go potty when he sits on the toilet. But he thinks it is fun! So that is where I am at on toilet training! Does anyone have any advice??

That is all I have for now!

My best advice for potty training is PATIENCE! Ohhhhh man, we had a tough time with Chloe. As soon as I finally stopped pushing her (she was over three and a half) she figured it out for herself and it was no thing. But as long as there was pressure, she refused. And get used to cleaning out poopy underwear. LOL Ahhh the joys of parenting. Best of luck to you - I've heard little boys can be rather... interesting... to train.
Keep us posted on his tongue - I hope everything works out quickly and easily for ya on that one. :o)
Honey, the "p" sound is a bilabial, meaning 2 lips, and his being tongue tied has nothing to do with his ability to produce a "p" sound... he's just being lazy about it... LOL P,B & M are all bilabials and are generally the first sounds that he can make and put into words. He's just saying "cheese" because that's what everyone responded to when he first started it. But he does use the sign for "please" so that's good. It's good that you are using sign language with him, because that will really help with his speech progression. He's right on track, Honey... believe me. OH! I dreamt last night that when I said, "I love you." to him, he said, "I love you, too." LOLOL Funny....
I do have an appt at 24 hr. fitness at 11 tomorrow, so won't be able to go to the dr. with you. I'll come over in the afternoon, tho, and see how things went, okay?
I love you.... don't worry!
Don't worry about Christian's tongue too much as your grandpa Plaskett had the same thing and it never affected his speech. Also, you may ask your Dad about it also cause I think he got his clipped.
As for potty training. . . wait at least a year. He's way too young, especially for a boy. What's the hurry? Let him sit on his potty when he wants and leave it at that.
